This weekend on saturday I spent the day at the Alaska Job Corps center attending the Palmer Colony Days Holiday Bazaar.
There was a good amount of traffic the Job Corps buses were running every hour bringing folks by to see the different artisans that were showing and selling their wears.
All but two vendors showed up there were about forty tables in the gym.
This day I brought my mothers yarns and fibers to sell and also to advertise our shop out in Big Lake.
I spoke with lots of people both the vendors that were there and people coming through and shopping.
I was able to tell about my moms artwork and what we teach, including the spinning classes that mom teaches and the Felting and Needle Felting classes that I teach.
It was fun and a great experience, even though sales were not high I was able to make back my table space fee as well as make a little profit.
So in the long run it was a great day and worth the time.
I think for sure by next year I will keep this Bazaar on my list of Craft fairs that I will attend.
